Dick Wolf’s FBI is one of CBS’s most successful franchises, and they’re betting big on its future. The flagship series FBI just received a three-season renewal, while its spin-offs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International have both been renewed for another season.
CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach described “FBI Tuesdays” as a powerful force to be reckoned with on their primetime schedule, and said they’re excited to see what next season holds for all the FBI heroes.
“Dick Wolf and the talent in front of and behind the camera on all three series continue to deliver top-notch storytelling, riveting action, and intrigue that has captivated a dedicated fanbase steadily across multiple seasons,” said Reisenbach in a statement.
FBI launched this franchise in 2018, and it chronicles the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Its sixth season is currently running on CBS, while FBI: Most Wanted has been renewed for Season 6, and FBI: International is coming back for Season 4.
FBI isn’t Dick Wolf’s first successful franchise to receive a renewal in recent weeks. This announcement comes shortly after NBC renewed Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. for another season just last month.
