Peacock’s new comedy series Laid is showing a lot of promise, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty epic. Eight new cast members just joined Stephanie Hsu in this promising series, starting with Chloe Fineman, Indya Moore, and Olivia Holt.

Created for Peacock by Nahnatchka Khan (Totally Killer) and Sally Bradford McKenna (Son of Zorn), Laid has been described as a “f–ked-up rom-com” about a woman who must comfort her romantic past to move forward after her former lovers start dying in unusual ways.

Stephanie Hsu, the Oscar-nominated star of Everything Everywhere All at Once, was originally cast in the lead role, and she’ll be in pretty good company. Zosia Mamet (Girls), Michael Angarano (This Is Us), and Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble) have been previously cast in supporting roles, and they’ll be joined by eight new cast members.

Laid will also star Andre Hyland (Barry), Olivia Holt (Cruel Summer), David Denman (The Office), Chloe Fineman (Saturday Night Live), Indya Moore (Pose), John Early (Search Party), plus WWE superstar Ettore “Big E” Ewen and Grammy-winning musician Finneas O’Connell.

Laid is based on the Australian series of the same name created by Marieke Hardy and Kirsty Fisher, which aired on ABC1 for two seasons during the early 2010s.
