It’s been a few years since Homeland ended its run, and Claire Danes is finally ready to reunite with its co-creator Howard Gordon. They’ll join forces on the upcoming Netflix limited series The Beast in Me, which hails from creator and writer Gabe Rotter.

Danes will lead the series as Aggie Wiggs, an acclaimed author who’s been dealing with writer’s block since the tragic death of her young son. Inspiration finally strikes when she finds an unlikely subject in a notorious figure who moves to a house next door.

Nile Sheldon is a formidable real estate mogul, who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Horrified and fascinated by his past, Aggie decides to dig deeper and hunt for the truth, finding herself caught in a game of cat and mouse that could have deadly consequences.

Gabe Rotter serves as creator, writer, and executive producer of this mystery thriller series, while Homeland’s Howard Gordon is coming on board as showrunner. He’ll also executive produce the project alongside Claire Danes, Daniel Pearle, and Jodie Foster, plus Conan O’Brien, Jeff Ross, and David Kissinger for Conaco.

Danes starred in several other acclaimed series since Homeland ended its run in 2020, including The Essex Serpent, Fleishman Is in Trouble, and last year’s Full Circle.
