The Gentlemen is the latest series taking Netflix by storm, and its final episode left things pretty open-ended. Guy Ritchie truly knocked it out of the park with the spin-off of his 2019 crime comedy, but would he consider bringing it back for another ride?

The Gentlemen is set in the same universe as Ritchie’s film of the same name and embraces a similar vibe with a brand-new cast. The series centers on Duke Edward “Eddie” Horniman (Theo James), who learns the true origin of his father’s fortune after inheriting his estate.

The first season of The Gentlemen took us on one wild ride and saw Eddie navigate a world of eclectic and dangerous characters in an attempt to protect his family. By the series finale, Eddie is finally ready to step up and become even a bigger fish in the crime world alongside Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario), but will their journey continue in Season 2?

Netflix is yet to renew this series, and the viewership numbers will most likely determine its future, but Guy Ritchie seems to be open to the idea of expanding this universe even further.

“You feel that this could run and run. The characters take on their own life, all you have to do is establish a character and create their own voice, and then couple that with an actor and we’re off to the races,” he previously told BBC.
