The Code actor Luke Mitchell will star alongside Stella Baker in the CW drama pilot The Republic of Sarah.
The Republic of Sarah is about rebellious high school teacher Sarah Cooper (Baker) who decides to start her own country with a group of young misfits after discovering a loophole when a greedy mining company threatens to destroy her town.
Mitchell has been cast as Sarah’s brother Danny, a lawyer who went through a traumatic childhood and must face his demons and return home to represent the mining company that wants to destroy the town.
In addition to The Code, the Australian native has had many recognizable television roles including The Tomorrow People, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Blindspot.
Mitchell will next appear in the upcoming films Black Water: Abyss and Without Remorse opposite Michael B Jordan.
