It’s been almost a decade since Dakota Johnson made her Saturday Night Live hosting debut, and she’s finally coming back! She’ll host the next episode of the beloved sketch comedy series, alongside musical guest Justin Timberlake.

Johnson hosted SNL for the first time all the way back in 2015, as a part of the promo tour for her breakout role in Fifty Shades of Grey. Her next movie Madame Web is hitting the theaters in February, and she’ll use her SNL hosting gig on January 27 to tease its release.

Unlike Johnson, Timberlake is somewhat of an SNL veteran, and we’ve seen him host and perform on this show on several occasions in the past. He’s been teasing his comeback album in recent weeks, and he’ll most likely use SNL as a platform to share new music with the world.

Saturday Night Live finally returned on NBC after a lengthy holiday break on January 20, with the Saltburn star Jacob Elordi serving as the host and Mean Girls’ Reneé Rapp joining him as a musical guest.

2024 is shaping up to be a rocky year for the iconic sketch comedy show – it lost an Emmy for the outstanding scripted variety series for the first time since 2016, while its long-time producer Lorne Michaels hinted he’ll exit the show after its 50th anniversary next year.
