“Daredevil”: Who’s Season 3’s Villain Bullseye?

Wilson Bethel in "Daredevil"

If you’re a Daredevil fan, then you have probably heard by now that the new season will introduce the infamous comic book villain, Bullseye. But who who is he?

Bullseye is a super-villain with an unparalleled sense of aim. He can take any object, be it an arrow or a playing card, and propel the object with lethal force and accuracy.

The character was created by Gary Friedrich and Herpe Trimpe for the 1969 issue of Nick Fury: Agents of SHIELD. He was resurrected in Daredevil in 1976 and became one of Daredevil’s biggest most formidable enemies.

His origin story is largely a mystery and various birth names have been suggested including “Benjamin Poindexter” and “Leonard.” One origin story depicts him as murdering his abusive father and another suggests he once killed a man when pitching in a baseball tournament.

Wilson Bethal has been cast to play Bullseye in the upcoming third season of Daredevil. This was confirmed in a teaser trailer released earlier this month which you can watch here:

Daredevil Season 3 lands on Netflix Friday, October 19th.
