What’s in a name?

Ask David Harbour.

The Stranger Things actor was intrigued and enthusiastic when he received the script for the Netflix series about some peculiar occurrences in Hawkins, Indiana.

Except, it wasn’t called Stranger Things at the time.

“Originally it was called Montauk and I thought that was such a good title, really strong, simple, and one word, and it was set in Montauk and then they changed it to be set in the Midwest so they needed to change the title,” the Black Widow actor explained on Late Night with Seth Myers.

“They called me and they were like, ‘We’re gonna call it Stranger Things,’ and I was like, ‘That’s the worst title I’ve ever heard.’ It sounds like a terrible idea for a television show. So I hated it. And then I saw it in the font with the music and it was awesome again.”

So awesome, in fact, that it has just been renewed for a fourth season!
