Will & Grace

Friends fans, rejoice!

On Wednesday, NBC announced that David Schwimmer will have a recurring guest role on the revived comedy Will & Grace. The 51-year-old actor will play the new love interest of Grace (Debra Messing) in season two.

Schwimmer became famous with his starring role as Ross on Friends opposite Jennifer Aniston.  This marks as his first appearance on network primetime TV since the beloved 90’s sitcom ended in 2004. He appeared on cable though a Robert Kardashian in FX’s American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson and in AMC’s one-season drama Feed the Beast, according to Daily Mail.

Additional guest stars revealed so far include Alec Baldwin, Chelsea Handler and Mary McCormack. Messing spoke to ET last month about her new love interest on Will & Grace.

“Things expand this season,” the 49-year-old actress told ET. “You know, we really get into each character’s private lives. Grace gets a boyfriend. Boom. That’s right. And I’m not allowed to tell you who, but you’re gonna be so excited.”

Messing revealed that her character’s boyfriend will appear in the beginning of the season but not the very first scene.

“All I’m going to say is that is one of the big things that happened,” she said. “You know, we’re gonna do what we always do, which is comment on what’s happening in the world right now and, you know, try and make you laugh out loud on your couch for a half hour every week because you know that’s what we wanna do — we wanna bring that joy.”

The season premiere airs on Thursday, Oct. 4 on NBC.
