Late night TV just threw a Spade in the works.

Comedy Central has announced that Rules of Engagement star, David Spade, will be receiving his own show on late-night television.

The 54-year-old is no stranger to the format, having previously presented the Hollywood Minute during the Weekend Update segment on Saturday Night Live, and hosted the weekly Showbiz Show with David Spade that made fun of celebrity news programs like Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight.

The programme, which is yet to be titled, will include a rotating group of celebrities and comedians, and not focus strictly on news like Comedy Central’s other feature, The Daily Show.

Spade’s show will follow Trevor Noah at 23:30 — putting him against Jimmy Fallon on NBC, Jimmy Kimmel on ABC, and Stephen Colbert on CBS.
