Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace are currently plotting their Paramount+ series Landman, and another A-list star just joined its cast. Demi Moore will star opposite Billy Bob Thornton in this promising drama, set in the world of oil rigs.

Based on the hit podcast Boomtown, this series has been described as “an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy, and our geopolitics.” It will be set in boomtowns of West Texas, and tell the tale of people seeking fortune in the world of oil rigs.

Moore will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton in the role of Cami, whose husband happens to be one of the most powerful oil men in Texas. Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, confirmed her casting in this promising series.

“Demi Moore is an iconic and extraordinary talent. We are thrilled to have her join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of Landman, our next epic series from Taylor Sheridan,” said McCarthy in a statement.

Landman isn’t the only high-profile show keeping Moore busy right now. She currently stars as Ann Woodward in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans and will soon join Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian in American Horror Story: Delicate.
