“Deputy” Cancelled After One Season

Stephen Dorff in "Deputy"

Fox announced that Deputy will be turning in its badge and gun after just one season.

Stephen Dorff starred in the 13-episode Western procedural which followed career lawman Bill Hollister (Dorff), stepping up as the acting sheriff of Los Angeles County after the current sheriff dies. But, Hollister is more suited for rounding up criminals than navigating the politics of staff meetings and leading 10,000 deputies.

Also starring in Deputy were Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Siena Goines, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses.

Deputy isn’t the only freshman show to get canceled by Fox, Almost Famous also won’t be returning for a second season. Bless the Harts, with 9-1-1: Lobe Star, Prodigal Son, and Duncanville were renewed by the network.
