Seems like David Harbour didn’t get the spoiler brief…
Season 3 of Stranger Things ended on a teary note (RIP Hopper), but left fans with hope thanks to a scene in the credits which referred to “the American.”
Many have assumed (read: are still crossing fingers) that the US national is Hopper, who somehow managed to escape the deadly blast caused by closing the portal to the Upside Down.
Harbour, who is set to star in the Black Widow solo film, shared pics of himself alongside fellow Marvel inductee Salma Hayek, who will be starring in The Eternals.
The 44-year-old captioned the Instagram post with a reference to Hopper and Joyce’s prospective future, which might very well be futile at this stage…
“Even as I move into this magical @marvelstudios world with colossal talents like @salmahayek … My heart still bleeds for them. And the life that could have been. Post a romantic Enzo’s eve.”
Harbour’s handkerchief has the word “Jopper” — Joyce and Hopper’s portmanteau.
We hope that all these theories about Hopper being alive are true, because #jopper4life!
