“Dirty John” is Coming Back for Round Two

Eric Bana and Connie Britton in "Dirty John"

There are many stories of love and relationships that turned out less than ideally, and Dirty John is bringing us another.

USA Network is the new home of the series, which was previously shown on Bravo and originally adapted from a true-crime podcast.

The first season of the anthology series starred Eric Bana and Connie Britton, while Christian Slater and Amanda Peet will lead the second season, entitled Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story.

The pair will play Dan and Betty Broderick who were college sweethearts, but whose story eventually ended in double homicide.

“The first season of Dirty John was a story of twisted love and coercive control and both these insidious elements are also present in and integral to the story of Betty Broderick, whom I have wanted to write about since I became a writer,” said series creator Alexandra Cunningham. “I can’t wait to see Amanda and Christian bring it to life.”

No premiere date for Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story has been announced as yet.
