Many amazing new trailers were unveiled during Disney’s D23 showcase, and one of them got Star Wars fans truly pumped up. The first look at Skeleton Crew is finally here, and it centers on four kids embarking on an epic adventure in the galaxy far, far away.
Skeleton Crew follows four ten-year-olds who get lost in the galaxy and find themselves on an adventure after making a strange discovery on their planet that they believe is a lost Jedi temple, only to turn out they stumbled upon a crashed starship.
Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, and Ryan Kiera Armstrong lead the young cast of this project, and they’ll be joined by the Oscar nominee Jude Law. His character Jod Na Nawood is a mysterious man capable of commanding the Force, but his charm seems to be hiding something more sinister.
Law presented the trailer at the D23 Expo and described it as “a timeless adventure story in the spirit of the Amblin coming-of-age stories of the ’80s like Goonies and E.T.“
Christopher Ford and Jon Watts co-created this series for Disney+, while the list of its directors includes Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, David Lowery, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lee Isaac Chung. Skeleton Crew will feature eight episodes, and it’s set to arrive on Disney+ on December 3 with a two-episode premiere.
