Goosebumps created quite a splash when it premiered on Disney+ last October, and more spooky adventures are just around the corner. The adaptation of R. L. Stine’s beloved book series has been renewed for its second season.

Goosebumps is going down the anthology route in its second season, introducing a new setting and cast of characters. It will center on two siblings trying to solve the mystery of five teenagers who vanished in 1994 after discovering a threat within their home.

Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, confirmed the show’s renewal and said they can’t wait to partner up with Sony Pictures Television, Scholastic Entertainment, and their fantastic creative team to bring an entirely new mystery to Disney+ for Season 2.

“Audiences everywhere fell in love with the series’ chills, thrills, heart, and humor, making it one of Disney Branded Television’s most-watched shows of last year. We can’t wait to dive deeper into the brilliant mind of R.L. Stine,” said Davis in a statement.

In addition to Goosebumps, Disney announced the renewal of several more shows geared towards a younger audience. Disney Junior’s animated series Pupstruction and SuperKitties, beloved by preschoolers and their families, will both be back for Season 3.
