After years of anticipation, the TV adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians finally aired last month, and Disney+ will soon take us behind the scenes. The streaming giant dropped the trailer for the behind-the-scenes documentary, set to be released with the upcoming Season 1 finale.

Hero’s Journey: The Making of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will arrive on Disney+ on January 30, along with the final episode of the show’s first season. It will feature 50 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, in addition to interviews with acclaimed author Rick Riordan and the creative team that brought this series to life.

The show’s leading trio Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri will also appear in this documentary, which will see them “step into worlds fit for gods, battle unforgettable creatures and perform legendary feats – all while still going to school.”

Based on Riordan’s beloved book series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians centers on the twelve-year-old demigod, who must restore order to Olympus while still coming to terms with his newfound powers.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiered on Disney+ on December 19, and the first episode amassed 26.2 million views in its first three weeks on this streaming platform. Disney+ is yet to greenlight the second season, but Riordan already started plotting what’s to come.
