Season 14 of Doctor Who has been a long time coming, and we finally know when the Time Lord will be back! Ncuti Gatwa will return for his first full season as the Doctor this May, alongside Millie Gibson as his companion Ruby Sunday.

After appearing in the Christmas special “The Church on Ruby Road”, Gatwa and Gibson are getting ready to return for another ride in the Tardis. They’ll be back as the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday in early May when Doctor Who will return for its Season 14 on BBC and Disney+.

The first two episodes will get a streaming date on Disney+ on May 10, before airing on BBC on May 11. It’s an unusual move that will allow international fans to see new episodes before the Whovians in Doctor Who’s home country of the UK get the chance to do so.

There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the show’s next season because it marks Russell T Davies’s return as head writer and executive producer, and he’s promising one wild ride.

“At last, it’s my great delight to unleash a whole new season of the Doctor and Ruby’s adventures together. Monsters! Chases! Villains! Mysteries! And a terrifying secret that’s been spanning time and space for decades. Don’t miss a second!” said Davies in a statement.
