Netflix is giving you a closer look into Dolly Parton’s music.
Heartstrings will feature eight one-hour episodes about the stories that inspired the country singer’s songs.
Netflix says that “each story will vary in tone, from love stories and inspirational tales to family dramas, westerns, and revenge comedies.”
In the trailer, Dolly introduces each episode and says, “Songs, they’re just stories put to music. The songs that I’ve written, they’re stories of my life. Every triumph, every struggle, every smile, every sorrow. It’s the melody of my memories. It’s the sound of my heartstrings.”
Also starring in the series is Ginnifer Goodwin, Julianne Hough, Kathleen Turne, Melissa Leo, and Delta Burke.
Heartstrings will be released November 22 on Netflix and you can watch the trailer below.
