Amazon Prime Video teased many of their highly-anticipated new projects in a recent sneak peek, including Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Donald Glover and Maya Erskine star in the first look at the television remake of the iconic 2000s action rom-com.
Amazon is still keeping the show’s release date and plot details under wraps, but you know what to expect if you’ve watched the original. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie starred as a couple bored with their domestic life, only to find out they’ve both been living secret lives as assassins hired by competing agencies to kill each other.
Donald Glover and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were initially cast as leads in this project, but Maya Erskine later stepped in after the Fleabag star decided to drop out. They’ll be in pretty good company since the show will also star Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Michaela Coel, John Turturro, and Paul Dano in supporting roles.
Prime Video’s sneak peek revealed that Mr. & Mrs. Smith will premiere in November, while also giving us a look at some of the streamer’s most exciting new projects. New seasons of Good Omens and The Summer I Turned Pretty are both coming our way this month, but we can also look forward to new seasons of The Wheel of Time and Reacher and The Boys spinoff Gen V.
