The Rock is back in the ring!
Dwayne Johnson may be a huge blockbuster movie star these days, but he’ll be going back to his roots this Friday.
The Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw actor started his career as a professional wrestler with WWE in the ‘90s.
Fox has acquired WWE SmackDown, moving it to Friday nights, and will be roping in The Rock to star on its debut on the network.
The last time Johnson pulled on his wrestling gear was in 2016 for WrestleMania, but he has not appeared on SmackDown since 2013.
“FINALLY… I come back home to my @WWE universe,” Johnson wrote on Twitter. “There’s no greater title than #thepeopleschamp. And there’s no place like home.”
