It has been over 35 years since Eddie Murphy last hosted the show, but the American actor and comedian will return for the upcoming series of Saturday Night Live.
It has been confirmed that Murphy will return for the show’s Christmas special, which will air on December 21st. He will be a guest host and will be joining an already pretty special SNL lineup.
Murphy boycotted the show back in 1990 after David Space made a dig at his career in the Holywood Minute. At the time, Murphy was one of Saturday Night Live‘s biggest stars, but the comment led him to leave the show.
Thirty-five years later, Murphy is ready to come back to the show and for OG fans, it’s going to be major.
