Elite is one of Netflix’s longest-running international dramas, but all good things must come to an end. The Spanish teen series will conclude with the upcoming Season 8, and the streamer teased it with a new trailer ahead of its July release date.

Elite premiered on Netflix in 2018, and it initially centered on the adventures of three working-class students trying to fit in with their wealthy classmates after enrolling at the elite school Las Encinas through a scholarship program.

Season 8 will mark the arrival of the leaders of the Las Encinas alumni association, siblings Emilia and Héctor Krawietz, who are planning to shake the school to its core.

“Influential, powerful, corrupt, and corrupters, the Krawietz will scatter chaos wherever they go and will destroy the lives of those who fall prey to them. Only Omar will be able to face them and will be willing to do anything to see them fall” reads Netflix’s official logline.

Season 8 will mark the return of Omar Ayuso, André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Fernando Líndez, Nadia Al Saidi, Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Mina el Hammani, Iván Mendes, Maribel Verdú, and they’ll be joined by newcomers Ane Rot, Nuno Gallego, Alexandra Pino, and Mario Ermito.

Elite will return to Netflix for its final season on July 26, with eight brand-new episodes.
