Epix has cast Emily Hampshire as the female lead who will star opposite Adrien Brody in the series based on Stephen King’s Jerusalem’s Lot.

The previously unnamed drama has been titled Chapelwaite, and it’s set to begin production in April with a Fall 2020 premiere date.

Chapelwaite is set in the 1850s, and it follows Captain Charles Boone (Brody), who moves with his family of three children into his ancestral home in the small, quiet town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife passes away. He’ll soon have to face the dark secrets that have haunted the Boone family for generations.

Hampshire will play Rebecca Morgan, a college student who decides to work for the Boone family as a governess, so she can write a story about them. While writing the story, she unwinds mysteries about her own family.

Hampshire currently stars in the Emmy-nominated hit Schitt’s Creek, and she just wrapped up production on the thriller Home, which she also executive produced. Her next role is in Quibi’s 50 States of Fright.
