The fourth season of Only Murders in the Building is shaping up to be the most star-studded one yet, and another beloved actor just joined its cast. The Emmy winner Eugene Levy will join Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez in the hit Hulu comedy series.
Not much is known about Levy’s character at the time, but Season 4 will most likely revolve around the murder of Charles-Haden Savage’s (Martin) stunt double Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch). We also know that the main trio will briefly leave The Arconia and embark on a short trip to Los Angeles before heading back to the Big Apple.
Seeing Levy join the cast of this series doesn’t come as a shocker, given his close relationship with its star Martin Short. They both hail from Hamilton, Ontario, and have collaborated on countless occasions over the years, most notably on the Father of the Bride movies, which also starred Steve Martin.
This will mark Levy’s first major live-action TV role since he won an Emmy for the final season of Schitt’s Creek. He’s not the first acclaimed actor to land a recurring role in Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building – Molly Shannon and Eva Longoria previously joined the cast, while Meryl Streep agreed to reprise her role from Season 3.
