The first season of Euphoria left us on a major cliffhanger—is Rue (Zendaya) alive or dead after what appears to be an overdose?

It looks like we’ll soon know the answer to this question and many more in season 2.

On December 15th, HBO announced that Euphoria would be returning for a second season in 2020 via a video post followed by a shot from the first season of Rue and Jules (Hunter Schafer).

Storm Reid, who plays Rue’s younger sister Gia, told Entertainment Tonight in late February that “In the next couple weeks, we start [filming]…We’re getting scripts soon. Table reads are coming. I’m on the edge of my seat, because I have no information, other than my character is supposed to be developing and becoming her own. So I am very excited about that.”

We’re still waiting to see which cast members will be returning for the second season as HBO has yet to release this information, and with all the unanswered questions from Season 1, anything is possible.
