The long-awaited third season of Euphoria has been pushed time and time again, but its production date is finally on the horizon. Season 3 of HBO’s popular teen drama will start filming in January 2025, with the main cast set to return.
Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films, released an official statement announcing that Euphoria will enter production in just a few months.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans,” said Orsi.
Members of the main cast, which includes breakout stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, and Hunter Schafer, are expected to return for Season 3. Maude Apatow, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, Nika King, Eric Dane, Dominic Fike, and Colman Domingo are also a part of the show’s ensemble.
This announcement comes shortly after HBO boss Casey Bloys said it’s possible that Season 3 will feature a major time jump. He told Variety that Euphoria creator Sam Levinson is trying to find the right setting because “he doesn’t want to have it in high school anymore.”
