Ryan Murphy has given us several new shows this year, and he’s showing no signs of stopping. He’ll join forces with FX for the comic book adaptation The Beauty, and its star-studded cast includes Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope.
The Beauty is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, and it’s set in a world obsessed with outward beauty, where people will go to great lengths to attain it.
“What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? In the world of ‘The Beauty,’ physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price,” reads the show’s official logline.
The Beauty will reunite Murphy with Evan Peters, who starred in several of his past projects, most recently Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which won him a Golden Globe Award. The cast will also include Ashton Kutcher (That ’70s Show), Anthony Ramos (Twisters), and Jeremy Pope (Pose).
All four actors will be credited as executive producers alongside The Beauty co-creators Ryan Murphy and Matthew Hodgson, plus Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, and Eric Gitter.
