Every Christmas Episode of “Friends” Ranked from Best to Worst

Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer in "Friends"

Running for nine whole seasons, Friends has gifted us with many hilarious Christmas episodes. Here is every one of them ranked from best to worst.

The One With The Holiday Armadillo (Season 7)

The only time on television history that an armadillo, Santa Claus and Superman have been spotted in the same room. Ross wanted to teach Ben about Hannukah and dressed as Santa’s “half-Jewish” friend “the holiday armadillo.”

The One With The Routine (Season 6)

The gang are invited to Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve and Ross and Monica are so desperate to get on TV, they perform their dance routine they have been practicing since they were kids.

The One Where Rachel Quits (Season 3)

The moment Rachel finally quits her job as a waitress at Central Perk to pursue her fashion dreams is iconic. Gunther was naturally devastated but the rest of us were rooting for her.

The One With Ross’s Step Forward (Season 8)

Watching Ross stumble through his turbulent love life is always funny. In Season 5’s holiday episode, he panics when Mona wants to do Christmas cards together and he asks her to move in with him.

The One With Phoebe’s Dad (Season 2)

Phoebe finds out that her grandmother has been lying to her about her dad and tries to track him down, only to chicken out last minute.

The One With The Monkey (Season 1)

This episode does a great job depicting the fear many of us have of being single and alone at Christmas. It also did a great job solidifying the gang’s friendship for viewers.

The One With The Inappropriate Sister (Season 5)

Rachel’s current boyfriend is way too close with his sister, and it’s pretty funny watching the gang’s shock watching them.

The One With Christmas In Tulsa (Season 9)

When Chandler quits his job in Tulsa so he can be with Monica for Christmas, we all cheered.

The One With The Girl From Poughkeepsie (Season 4)

This episode is pretty forgettable other than Phoebe’s wonderful Christmas song for the gang.
