Everything You Need To Know About “Game of Thrones” Season 8

"Game of Thrones"

On one hand, we cannot wait for season 8 of Game of Thrones to air and reveal what happens to all our favorite characters. On the other hand, we are dreading the air date because it means that after the final episode has landed, the series is over forever.

Here is everything we know about the eighth and final season so far.

When is it out?

We’ve known for a while that season 8 of the popular TV show was due to arrive in 2019. But we can now confirm that the final season will premier in April. HBO confirmed the news with the following dramatic teaser:

Is there a trailer?

This teaser contains the first clips we have seen of the upcoming season. The only other sneak preview we have had is on an HBO trailer advertising their upcoming shows. At 1:11, you can see previously unseen footage of Jon Snow embracing Sansa Stark. Hmm.

Who’s in it?

We’re assuming that everyone who survived season 7 will be returning. Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Pilou Asbæk (Euron), Lena Headey (Cersei), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie) have all confirmed their return. If the brilliance of the show wasn’t incentive enough to come back, the fact they get paid $1.1 million each per episode surely helps.

When will we get a proper trailer?

We honestly couldn’t say just yet. Hopefully soon though!!
