Love it or hate it, Emily in Paris is one of Netflix’s most talked-about shows, and its second season is just around the corner. The streaming giant recently teased the next chapter of Emily’s adventures in the City of Light with a new trailer, and here’s everything we’ve learned after watching it.

Release Date

If you need a new show to binge-watch just in time for the holidays, don’t despair. The second season of Emily in Paris will hit Netflix a few days before Christmas, on December 22nd.

Love Triangle

The love triangle between Emily, her next-door neighbor Gabriel, and his girlfriend and Emily’s friend Camille was one of the focal points of Season 1, and writers aren’t done with this storyline. Things will get even messier in Season 2, as Emily’s love life is turned upside down after an “incredible night” with Gabriel.

New Love Interest?

A couple of scenes in the trailer also saw Emily hang out with Alfie—a fellow non-French speaking ex-pat, played by Lucien Laviscount. He’s been described as a “sarcastic and charming cynic” who grows close to Emily as the season progresses. Sparks were really flying between them in the trailer, so it seems like there’s another love triangle in sight.
