Fallout is one of the most exciting new shows coming to Amazon Prime Video this month, and we’ll get to see it earlier than expected. The streaming giant moved the release date of the highly-anticipated post-apocalyptic series, which is now set to debut on April 10.
Fallout draws inspiration from Interplay Entertainment’s video game franchise of the same name, and here’s what it has in store according to Amazon’s official logline:
“200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind – and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”
Ella Purnell will lead the series as Lucy MacLean, a young woman who spent her whole life living in one of the fallout bunkers, known as the Vaults, before deciding to venture out into the unknown. She’ll be joined by Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Johnny Pemberton, Cherien Dabis, and Aaron Moten in supporting roles.
Fallout was created for Amazon Prime Video by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, who directed the first three episodes. This series was originally slated for an April 12 debut, before the streamer announced they’re moving it to April 10, when all eight episodes will be released on Prime Video.
