Season two of Westworld is set to return on TV screens on April 22nd, 2018. So far HBO is holding out on the trailer, but the network did decide to give us a sneak peak by release first photos of the highly anticipated new season. Let’s check them out, and see if there are any clues we can find.

One of the shots features Dolores and Teddy riding on horseback, staring into the distance and contemplating situation they found themselves in. We can only guess what the duo is doing in the scene, but those hardcore fans can’t help to think Dolores is sharing her new-found knowledge with Teddy.

There is also the photo of Maeve (Thandie Newton) holding a weapon and standing next to narrative “genius” Sizemore (Simon Quarterman).

Bernard, played by Jeffrey Wright, is seen in the photo with Tessa Thompson’s Charlotte Hale, Executive Director of the Board of Delos Destinations. They don’t seem hostile, so could it perhaps be a hint that they are teaming up for this season?

Ed Harris’ role as The Man in Black continues and he is shown in the photo as a guy who does what he does best: Look angry and shoot people.

Other photos include Fares Fares, a new addition to the series, playing Antoine Costa and Rodrigo Santoro’s Hector Escaton, aiming a pistol at someone or something.

Westworld is a science fiction, western-themed TV series created by HBO which premiered on October 2nd, 2016. Based on the 1973 movie of the same name, the series was an instant hit, garnering highest viewership ratings in 2016.
