Good Omens is a fantasy series based on the 1990 novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. An unlikely partnership between the finicky angel Aziraphale and the wanton demon Crowley results in one hell of a comedy (pun absolutely intended).
As the two battle to find the anti-Christ and save the world, we see many familiar faces along the way. Here are five famous faces you may have forgotten from the show.
David Tennant
Best known for his leading role in Doctor Who, David Tennant is devilishly charming in this apocalyptic Prime series. His oozing confidence and cheeky smile as Crowley steal the show.
Michael Sheen
Sheen has a habit of playing darker characters, such as his roles in Twilight and Underworld. His quaint angelic presence in Good Omens, however, is a welcome change. He has a love of sushi, rare literature and just wants a simple and peaceful life.
Jack Whitehall
Stand-up comic and actor Jack Whitehall plays the geeky character Newton Pulsifier. He joins the apocalyptic quest after a series of farcical coincidences torpedoes him into the heart of the action.
Benedict Cumberbatch
Benedict Cumberbatch may only feature in one episode but his portrayal of Satan is a welcome addition to the show. Everyone’s internet crush Cumberbatch was in fact specifically chosen by Neil Gaimen to play Satan. Gaimen admired his strong presence and vocal range.
Johnny Vegas
Johnny Vegas also only appears in one episode. He is cast as a deceased husband, channeled by Miranda Richardson in a seance. Like Cumberbatch, he was chosen for his vocal technique – and also his ability to rant.
