Fleabag star Phoebe Waller-Bridge has addressed questions about whether she will be bringing back the show for another season.
Over the weekend, Waller-Bridge bagged the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, Lead Actress, and Writing. Fleabag has been a huge hit with fans and now, people are wondering if she was right to end the series so soon.
When asked by Entertainment Tonight if her big wins have made her reconsider the show’s early conclusion, Waller-Bridge responded: “I mean, to be honest, this just feels like the most beautiful, beautiful way to say goodbye to it, actually.
“It does feel like the story is complete… It’s so nice to hear that so many people loved it. I’m a bit like, ‘Aw, damn it, maybe she shouldn’t have waved goodbye at the end’. But it does feel right. It feels right to go out on a high, and you can’t get higher than this.”
