The second season of Animal Control is yet to premiere on Fox, but this network is betting big on its feature. The hit comedy series starring Joel McHale has been renewed for its third season ahead of the upcoming Season 2 premiere.

Animal Control was created for Fox by Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, and Dan Sterling, and it stars McHale as disillusioned ex-cop Frank Shaw. He works with a group of quirky animal control workers in Seattle, whose lives are constantly being complicated by humans and not so much by animals.

In addition to McHale, this series also stars Michael Rowland, Vella Lovell, Ravi Patel, Grace Palmer, Gerry Dee, and Krystal Smith, plus guest stars Ken Jeong and Sarah Chalke.

Michael Thorn, Fox Entertainment’s president of scripted programming, described Animal Control as an incredibly irreverent series that expresses everything viewers expect from a Fox comedy and added they’re happy to bring it back for another ride.

“It has an amazing amount of momentum behind it, and we’ve been so impressed by the work Joel, Bob, Rob, Dan, Tad [Quill], Jake [Fuller], and the entire cast are delivering for Season Two we wanted to reward them with the opportunity to deliver even more of this special show to fans next season,” said Thorn in a statement.
