Paramount+ reunited us with our favorite psychiatrist Frasier Crane almost two decades after Frasier ended its run – but not for too long. The streamer canceled the Frasier reboot after just two seasons, but CBS Studios remains committed to finding a new home for this series.

Paramount’s revival follows Frasier Crane into the next chapter of his life “as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge, and an old dream or two to finally fulfill.” After accepting a job at Harvard University, he decides to move into his son’s apartment building and try to repair their strained relationship.

In addition to Kelsey Grammer in the titular role, the Frasier revival also starred Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro, Anders Keith, Rachel Bloom, Yvette Nicole Brown, Greer Grammer, Patricia Heaton, Harriet Sansom Harris, Amy Sedaris, Peri Gilpin, Dan Butler, and Edward Hibbert.

The show’s cancelation comes just two months after Season 2 ended its run, and CBS Studios is planning to shop it elsewhere. Moving it to their sibling network CBS isn’t an option because their schedule already includes multiple comedy shows, but Prime Video and Hulu are in the running because they carry the original run of Frasier.
