So many shows have received the reboot greenlight lately, that we find it hard to keep track.

That said, a tiny flicker of hope remains that one of these days we’ll get the news that Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Pheobe, Monica, and Joey will also be returning to our screens…

But, alas, it seems as though that flicker has been officially extinguished — by none other than the series creator who has stated that Friends will never be revived.

“There are several reasons.,” Marta Kaufman told Rolling Stone. “One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It’s not that time anymore. All we’d be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone. Two, I don’t know what good it does us. The show is doing just fine, people love it. A reunion could only disappoint.”

Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow have reportedly expressed willingness to do a reboot, but we guess this puts the kibosh on that.

At least we have 10 seasons…
