From Legion to Fargo, Noah Hawley has given us some of FX’s best series in recent years, and another one is on the way. The first teaser trailer for Alien: Earth is here, and FX dropped some more details about this big and bold reimagining of the Alien franchise.

This series will center on a young woman Wendy and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers, who must make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat after a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth.

Sydney Chandler will lead the cast as Wendy, a woman with the body of an adult and the consciousness of a child. She’ll be joined by Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El in supporting roles.

The first teaser doesn’t reveal much about the plot, and it features a brief shot of the surface of the Earth reflected on the helmet of an angry and feral Xenomorph, getting ready for destruction.

Alien: Earth will premiere on FX in 2025, and the company’s chairman John Landgraf revealed they’re plotting it as an ongoing series with several seasons.
