Gabrielle Union & Jessica Alba’s “L.A.’s Finest” Delayed Premiere

Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union in "L.A.'s Finest"

Amidst all the systemic racism and police brutality going on in the country, L.A.’s Finest made a last-minute decision to delay the premiere.

Set to air on June 8, 2020, the show decided to push back the release to an unspecified date later in 2020 as the country has been having a backlash against police shows on television following recent events.

L.A.’s Finest stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba as LAPD detectives who bring down the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles while not always following the rules, but they make a great team both on the job and in each other’s personal lives. Burnett is a revival of the character Union played in the 2003 Bad Boys II film and her character relocates to Miami to get away from her complicated past.

Fox acquired the rights to broadcast both seasons less than a month ago and they were planning on airing them in the fall. Season 1 is still set to air on the network this fall.

Jerry Bruckheimer Television and 2.0 Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures TV and Charter Communications produced the series. Union, Alba, Jerry Bruckheimer, Brandon Margolis, Brandon Sonnier, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Pam Veasey, Doug Belgrad, Jeff Gaspin, Jeff Morrone and Anton Cropper served as executive producers.
