“Game of Thrones” Cast Recall Reading Their Final Scripts

Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke in "Game of Thrones"

The Game of Thrones cast revealed what it was like to read the final script of the series.

The epic final season of hit TV series Game of Thrones is nigh, and the final scripts have already been sent out. Now, the cast have revealed what it was like receiving the last scripts.

Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the show, said she read her copies extremely quickly. “It was completely overwhelming,” she told Entertainment Weekly. “Afterwards I felt numb, and I had to take a walk for hours.”

Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, also found the experience overwhelming. She recalls running home to read the scripts in private: “I turned to my best mate and was like, ‘Oh my God! I gotta go! I gotta go!’” she admitted. “And I completely flipped out.”

She then added: “Genuinely the effect it had on me was profound. That sounds insanely pretentious, but I’m an actor, so I’m allowed one pretentious adjective per season.”

On the other end of the spectrum, we have Kit Harrington, who decided that he simply didn’t want to find out what happened.

“I walked in saying, ‘Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know,’” the Jon Snow actor confessed. “What’s the point of reading it to myself in my own head, when I can listen to people do it and find out with my friends?”

As for the rest of us, we will have to wait until April 2019 to find out the fate of our favorite Game of Throne characters. Let the countdown begin.
