Peacock’s upcoming coming-of-age thriller series Hysteria! will kick off production pretty soon, and several stars just joined its ensemble. Garret Dillahunt and Nolan North are among six new actors to join Julie Bowen and Anna Camp in this promising series.
In addition to Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead) and North (Pretty Little Liars), Hysteria! will also star Elijah Richardson (Fantasy Football), Milly Shapiro (Hereditary), Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13), and Jessica Treska (Alex & Me).
This series will center on members of a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts, who decide to use the growing hysteria around teen occult activity to their advantage. The trouble starts when a beloved varsity quarterback goes missing, setting off a bizarre series of “supernatural” events that lead the witch hunt directly to them.
The newly added six cast members are set to join series regulars Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Anna Camp (Good Girls Revolt), Emjay Anthony (Physical), Chiara Aurelia (Cruel Summer), Nikki Hahn (Magnum P.I.I), and Kezii Curtis (Charm City Kings).
Hysteria! hails from writers Matthew Scott Kane (Stitchers) and David Goodman (The Orville), who’ll also executive produce this project alongside John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Chris Bender, and Jake Weiner. Jordan Vogt-Roberts (The Kings of Summer) will join them as an EP, in addition to directing the pilot episode.
