Slow Horses is one of Apple TV’s biggest sleeper hits, and expectations are running high for its upcoming fourth season. Gary Oldman returns as the Slough House leader Jackson Lamb in the new trailer that gives us a glimpse of new challenges that lay ahead.
Apple TV+ describes Slow Horses as a quick-witted spy drama about “a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents – and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb – as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces.”
In addition to Oldman, the list of cast members returning in Season 4 will also include Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan and Jonathan Pryce. They’ll be joined by newcomers Hugo Weaving, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Joanna Scanlan, and Tom Brooke.
The third season of Slow Horses was quite a success for Apple TV+, and it scored nominations for nine Emmy Awards, including outstanding drama series and acting nominations for its stars Oldman, Lowden, and Pryce.
Season 4 will arrive on Apple TV+ on September 4, with new episodes airing weekly. Season 5 is also on the way after the streamer decided to give this acclaimed spy thriller an early renewal back in January.
