Chance Perdomo, the star of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V, tragically passed away at the age of 27. Season 2 of Gen V was delayed indefinitely in the face of his sudden death, giving the cast and crew enough time to come to terms with this profound loss.

The 27-year-old actor died in a motorcycle accident, and his family confirmed Perdomo’s passing in a press release shared with the media. Gen V producers mourned the loss in an official statement and sent condolences to his family and loved ones.

“For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” reads the statement released by the Gen V production team.

Perdomo rose to prominence while playing Ambrose Spellman in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and went on to star as Landon Gibson in the After franchise. He joined the main cast of The Boys spin-off Gen V last year, and its second season was supposed to kick off production in Toronto later this month.

The Season 2 production start date has been pushed indefinitely in the wake of Perdomo’s passing. It remains unclear if the writers will rewrite the scripts to address his absence or recast another actor in his role.
