Fans lost it after Peacock canceled Girls5Eva after two seasons, but it didn’t take long for this series to find a new home. The third season of the musical comedy series will soon premiere on Netflix, and its stars recently opened up about the rocky road they’ve been on since its premiere.

Girls5Eva stars Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry as members of the 90s girl group, who went their separate ways years ago. After their only hit unexpectedly becomes a viral hit, they decided to reunite and get a second shot at fame.

Girls5Eva will return to Netflix for its third chapter after the streaming giant picked it up following the Peacock cancelation. Sara Bareilles recently opened up about the show’s journey and said they had a beautiful experience making Season 3 for Netflix.

“It’s a relief. I’m so grateful. We had so much fun making the season and getting to move platforms and broaden our audience, getting a chance to continue the story of these women,” Bareilles told The Hollywood Reporter.

Busy Philipps echoed her statement and said they felt overjoyed after learning that Netflix picked up the show in the wake of Peacock’s unexpected cancelation.

Season 3 of Girls5Eva will premiere on Netflix on March 14, and it will feature six episodes.
