Glen Powell is growing into one of the biggest Hollywood stars of his generation, but we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t recognize him in his next project. The first look at Hulu’s sports comedy Chad Powers is here, and Powell’s new look in this series will make you do a double take.
Based on the character created by Eli Manning for his EPSN+ docuseries Eli’s Places, this Hulu series will center on hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday, who nuked his college career with his bad behavior. Unable to walk away from the game, he decides to disguise himself and join a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.
The first look at Powell in this series shows him wearing his disguise, which involves a prosthetic nose, fake teeth, and a long wig. He’ll be joined by Steve Zahn, Toby Huss, Perry Mattfeld, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Quentin Plair in supporting roles.
In addition to leading this series, Powell also serves as its co-creator, co-writer, and one of executive producers alongside Michael Waldron. Omaha Productions’ Eli Manning and Peyton Manning are also joining them as EPs, along with ESPN, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and Adam Fasullo.
