The “In Memoriam” section at any awards ceremony is always rather emotional.

The segment pays tribute to all the stars, producers, writers, directors, and other industry members who passed away during the previous year.

This year’s Primetime Emmy Awards will have a slight twist to its In Memoriam, as the ceremony itself will not have a single host.

Instead, producers will be relying on a variety of presenters to introduce categories and so, the tribute section will also be a joint affair.

“Bad At Love” singer Halsey will perform a classic song while photos of those who have passed on are shown on screen.

During the past year, the television industry lost Riverdale actor Luke Perry, Georgia Engel of The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Disney star Cameron Boyce, among others.

The 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards are set to take place on September 22nd.
