It’s been over 15 years since Hayden Christensen played the role of Anakin Skywalker, and he’s gearing up for a comeback. He’s set to join Rosario Dawson in the role of the iconic Star Wars villain in the upcoming Disney+ series Ahsoka.

It only took a single appearance on The Mandalorian for Ahsoka Tano to become a new fan favorite and get her own spinoff. Before Dawson took on this role, Tano appeared in The Clone Wars and Rebels, as the Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker.

Given her origin story, Christensen’s involvement in this series makes total sense. Since Ahsoka is set five years after Return of the Jedi, he’s most likely to appear in flashbacks or as a Jedi presence, but we’re yet to see how this series will handle his character. The rest of the main cast will be announced before the series starts production in 2022.

Ahsoka isn’t the only Star Wars-affiliated Disney+ series that Christensen is currently attached to. He’s also set to play Anakin Skywalker in Obi-Wan Kenobi, also starring Ewan McGregor and Joel Edgerton, who previously appeared in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The production on this series wrapped up in September, and it’s expected to premiere on Disney+ next year.
