Euphoria stars have aged out of their roles and moved on to different projects since the show premiered, making us wonder about what the future holds for this hit teen drama. HBO boss Casey Bloys recently pondered about the show’s future and revealed what’s to come in Season 3 and beyond.

Bloys recently set down with Variety to discuss some of HBO’s biggest hits, from The Last of Us and The White Lotus to Big Little Lies and Succession. He also dropped some hints about the future of Euphoria, saying that Sam Levinson is currently writing the third season and it’s up to him to decide if this series continues beyond that.

“Obviously the cast have all become stars, which you love to see — and Zendaya is obviously a big movie star. So, there is a practical reality to that. But it also depends on the stories Sam wants to tell… We’ll leave it up to him and have those conversations about what he wants to do,” said Bloys.

Euphoria premiered on HBO in 2019, and it’s expected to return for its third season next year. In addition to Zendaya, the previous seasons also starred Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Barbie Ferreira, and the late Angus Cloud.
