Kate Winslet’s collaboration with HBO is a gift that keeps on giving, and their third mini-series together is just around the corner. The Oscar winner will play the lead role in the upcoming political satire The Regime, and the first full trailer for this series is finally here.

According to its official synopsis, The Regime will chronicle one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel. Winslet will lead the series in the role of a ruthless Chancellor, trying to keep her head high as her position is threatened by domestic turmoil.

Winslet will be in pretty good company since the supporting cast of this project also includes Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts, Martha Plimpton, Guillaume Gallienne, Hugh Grant, Danny Webb, David Bamber, Henry Goodman, and Stanley Townsend.

The Oscar winner is also coming on board as one of the show’s executive producers, along with the writer and showrunner Will Tracy, directors Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs, plus Frank Rich and Tracey Seaward.

The Regime marks Winslet’s third collaboration with HBO, following the success of Mildred Pierce and Mare of Easttown, both of which won her an Emmy and Golden Globe. This series will be released on HBO on March 3, 2024, and it will feature six episodes.
